MOOD SWINGS
land art installation
august 2019

We live in a world with the constant pressure to perform, 'having no time' is the norm and nothing ever seems 'good enough', because it can always be more, better, bigger and faster. That is precisely why I made this installation; here is no pressure and nothing is required. The seven red swings are scattered throughout the forest and provide a powerful visual contrast with the natural environment. They invite the audience to participate interactively and be part of the installation. The childlike impact of the objects refers to freedom, playfulness and carelessness. Let go, move in the air, feel the wind, smell the trees and enjoy the moment.
Mood Swings was shown during the Taribush Kuna Festival and is part of their art route through the nature of the National Park Dwingelderveld, which can be visited until September 7, 2019.
